Different development stages for injectable products,
different Fill Finish needs

duration: 40 minutes

Speaker
Andrea Zanotto
Product Manager
The development of a new injectable drug requires several steps, ranging from pre-clinical research to clinical trials in different phases, and finally reaching full commercialization.
The increasing requirements from regulatory authorities (such as Annex I) and the emergence of new products compared to traditional synthetic drugs (for example, ADCs, ATMPs, Cell & Gene therapies) have demanded technological adaptation in Fill Finish systems to be implemented throughout all stages of drug development.
The ability to increase the level of automation within an appropriate containment system (RABS or Isolator) , both during commercialization but also in earlier phases, ensures better quality for the final product.
